The East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) commenced its President’s Cup knockout T20 competition recently, with Lusignan, Enterprise, Young Rivals and Fairfield notching victories on the opening weekend. Lusignan defeated Ogle by six wickets and Unity by eight wickets to emerge as early favourites, while Fairfield got the better of LBI ‘B’ by six wickets, Young Rivals thumped East Coast Masters by 98 runs, and Enterprise pulled off a 15-run success over Golden Grove. Among the standout performers were Tyrell Peters, who slammed 94 for Young Rivals; Chetram Balgobin smashed 65 off 29 (8x4s, 4x6s) for Lusignan against Ogle, and Vivian Albert made 59 and picked up 2-18 for Enterprise against Golden Grove.
