see the nonsense I am talking about...... win the toss and send the opposition in...the same India that has been scoring heavily on the westindies...
and smith is not playing eh!
why do westindies do the following...pick a captain and send him onto the field to captain as he likes, depending entirely on his brains which are non-existent?
who the hell tells westindies braintrust that is the way things MUST go?
dont we know the men we have playing fo us, what tey are capable of? dont we know whats required in the conditions before a game and what to do as a result?
what the hell happens..the management knows we should bat on winning the toss, but sends out the captain to take the tosss holding their collective breath as to what he is going to do however the toss turns out?
is that how westindies cricket is managed in these days of guava season when it comes to westindies brains on the field?
if the brain trust knows what to do tell the captain...indeed instruct him... what to do as he goes out to take the toss.
tell the captain before he goes out, indeed when he is appointed what the game is..."we want you to follow the this or that course... we will be running the show this way. if you do not want to be pliable, part of a leadership mix then we cant use you!"
we do that because we know the men we have and what they are capable of, as opposed to what is required for our success. they cant do the job so we must devise a way to have them supplied with what they need to do the job on the field.
it makes no damm sense to have a great deal of leadership knowledge off the field, in the management and we cannot devise a way for it to find expression on the field....while we have idiot captains doing shit all the time on the field.
isnt that the most stupid thing, the most ridiculous situation imaginable!?
this isnt childs play, this is professionalism. dont send the opposition in unless you absolutely must. you send the dam oppistion in and they are 202 for 2...enought to break the team apart.
you must do what is right. if you fail doing that then its your problem and you must accept that. there is no external reason to fall apart but to stand up and fight for you did what you were supposed to do.
David Bernard is a gayle desciple...a damm fool!

westindies cricket seems to be the most incompetely run thing in the world these days. there is no creativity to make up shortages at all.
we are failing and the traditional way is the line we stick to as all fatalists do!
we select captains from among a bunch of boobs and send them out to captain as they see fit. what we get is bound to be boobish, if its by a boob who is leading in his boobish way.
westindies has tradition of creativity yet it finds no expression in its administration of the game in the region. we must remove the limitations on our minds and see the totality of our reality, all the possibilities... and in and among and with them, create as we go in order to return to solvency in the game
