I think Patel's test career, like Imran Tahir's is probably at an end.

Another interestingly poised game.
After KP's atrocious shot in the last game I wondered about him but it seems he is back. I gotta try and watch him tonight - the man is a very entertaining batsman.

Cook, meanwhile, is within 13 runs of his fourth hundred in as many Tests as England skipper after another measured innings.
A century for either player would be their 22nd in Tests, equalling the England record held by Geoffrey Boycott, Colin Cowdrey and Walter Hammond.
The England captain, whose brilliant second-innings 176 in Ahmedabad was in vain, once again proved himself a fine judge of length on turning pitches as he scored heavily square of the wicket on both sides.

Monty destroying India....
Why did Bresnan play ahead of him in the first Test?

Mike you feeling good about your team today?
i can't believe India's spinners have been outplayed on their own turf by Swann and Monty!!.. and that in it's self is the reason why England are very likely to win this game,
BUT, we've seen first hand what Herby can do with the bat, that man can stick around and if him and Gambir can put on around 100 by lunch i think it's game on again, it will be all down to those two though as Ojha and Khan are pretty much bunnies.
