Seems Dougie is now the New Director of Cricket so you are stuck with Gibson.

So Warwicks has more sense than the WICB? Good for them, bad for us.

Errrmmmm, let me see. Because he is overrated and crap!

Shame for West indies Cricket as with Gibson you will be steaming backwards and you have the incompetent Sammy at the helm.

I am so sorry......

I would not hire Gibson for anything....and I don't see that any intelligent organisation would hire him same way.

and in competition with englishmen for such a job

I have an idea what what those men would be like on a developmental scale and I doubt Gibson would have a chance in any such consideration or competition :o

that is unless he went up against a line of like skunts like Toby Radford. he may beat out competition like that..but not others. not in england. not the Gibson we have seen as west indies head coach :o

but never fear..Gibbo will lose out in the west indies too. the new dispensation may chase his skunt nevertheless. we will see

and if they do the skunt wont have anywhere to go. I would say he would have earned that..wouldn't you :?

but I was hoping against hope that they wud take him anyway...get him off our backs. Gibsom would have grabbed that had deh offered, like a drowning man..which he actually is and knows it

Dougie was a Warwicks man as was Giles.

They tend to stick with Coaches who have been associated with the Club and Brown being Giles' deputy it was always going to be to his advantage. He was part of that team that took the Club to the Division 1 Championship so it did not surprise me.

As a player he was a reasonable all rounder.

just compare jimmy Adams to Gibson.....

Asams is eloquent. very imntelligent, educated enough..definetly upper class with that kind of polish and finish.

he can compete for management jobs in england...maybe a guy like greenidge. scruffy phiull simmons also can due to polish, smarts, development of character.

Gibboe got in...but they did not know him as an emotional idiot. now that they do maybe he can get wuk in the Lancashire leagues...but not up at the top.

publicly fighting with his players was a definite career buster. tossing his best players only added to his career catastrophe..and refusing to resolve the issue until it was an international sore, until the politicians got involved......

not to mention the fact that west indian cricket fans do not like Gibbo at all at all...him and sammy.

Gibson mus' have been nuts to so conduct himself and expect people to look at him as a quality coach with a view to hiring him for top jobs

warwickshire would know all that. it is easy to track. Gibbo did not have a sno'ball's chance in hell of gettin' dat wuk
