Should he go to South Africa?
Sachin Tendulkar
Can Sachin return to form or should he go now?

I will not involve myself with an opinion on this issue.
I think the Indian board and Sachin are on the same page when it comes to building a record for India that can never be broken.
given that 'fact' I will just look and see what they do. they have their goal..it may not pay to get involved

An excellent article, Garfield....
Part of the problem is that Tendulkar has way too much power for an active player. It's well known that the main reason why the BCCI opposes the use of DRS is because Tendulkar does, and when Sachin retires, that's when the BCCI may be more receptive to its use. How can one player wield so much power? Lara never did, Viv never did, Lloyd never did, the Waughs never did, Ponting never did...they all ultimately had to answer to the selectors. Sachin doesn't seem to answer to anybody, and I think that's problem.

The Tendulkar situation is symptomatic of the Indian cultural trait of creating deities of humans, in my opinion. Consequently, both parties are reaping the rewards of what they have sown - good luck to them.
