"Usain Bolt will compete in the London 2012 Anniversary Games from 26 to 28 July, along with 28 other medallists from last year's Olympics....Bolt will run the 100m on the Friday, in a field that includes 2003 world champion Kim Collins, 37, and in the 4x100m relay on the Saturday."

The Diamond League starts with the Doha meet on Friday....

Trinidad's Keshorn Walcott will be competing in the men's javelin, Shara Proctor of Anguilla will be participating in the women's long jump for Britain, and Donald Thomas of the Bahamas will be taking part in the men's high jump.

Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherone Simpson and Samantha Henry-Robinson will go up against Myriam Soumare of France and American Chalonda Williams in the women's 200m.

The men's 100m should feature Kim Collins of St Kitts, Jamaicans Nesta Carter, Jacques Harvey and Jason Young, Derrick Atkins of the Bahamas, and Americans Justin Gatlin and Mike Rodgers.

Shericka Williams of Jamaica will go up against Allyson Felix of the US, Amantle Montsho of Botswana, and Britain's Christine Ohuruogu in the women's 400m.

It was a Jamaica 1-2-4 in the women's 200m, won by favourite Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in 22.58, ahead of Sherone Simpson (22.73), Myriam Soumare of France (22.81) and Samantha Henry-Robinson (22.97).

There was an American 1-2 in the men's 100m, which was won by Justin Gatlin in 9.97, ahead of Mike Rodgers and Jamaican Nesta Carter, who both clocked 9.99, and Kim Collins of St Kitts (10.04).

Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Anguilla's Shara Proctor had to settle for sixth place in the men's javelin and women's long jump respectively.

Now it's on to the DL meet in Shanghai on Saturday May 18....

Jamaicans Trecia Smith and Kimberley Williams will be taking part in the women's triple jump, while Bahamians Donald Thomas and Trevor Barry will participate in the men's high jump, and Trinidadians Keshorn Walcott and Cleopatra Borel will be in the men's javelin and women's shot put respectively.

The women's 400m hurdles will feature Kaliese Spencer of Jamaica against Americans Lashinda Demus and Tiffany Williams,

The women's 100m should be a contest between Americans Carmelita Jeter and Jeneba Tarmoh and four Jamaicans - Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Samantha Henry-Robinson, Sherri-Ann Brooks and Aleen Bailey.

The men's 400m will feature Kirani James of Grenada and Trinidadian Lalonde Gordon against Lashawn Merritt of the US and Laguelin Santos of the Dominican Republic.

The men's 200m will see Jamaicans Warren Weir, Jason Young and Marvin Anderson up against Americans Justin Gatlin, Wallace Spearmon and Darvis Patton.

Caribbean athletes beat their American rivals in key clashes....

Shelly-Ann Fraser of Jamaica won the women's 100m in a world-leading 10.93, ahead of Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria (11.00), and American Carmelita Jeter (11.08), with Jamaicans Samantha Henry-Robinson (11.23), Sherri-Ann Brooks (11.27) and Aleen Bailey (11.30) filling out the minor places.

Grenada's Kirani James stormed to victory in the men's 400m in a time of 44.02, beating American Lashawn Merritt (44.60), while Jamaican Warren Weir won the men's 200m in 20.18 ahead of Justin Gatlin of the US (20.21) and another Jamaican, Jason Young (20.22).

Caribbean athletes continued to do well at the New York Diamond League meet yesterday. The weather was wet, cold and windy, and that had an effect on the times....

Jamaica's Warren Weir blew away the opposition to win the men's 200m in 20.11, with Alonso Edward finishing a distant second in 20.38. It was a Jamaica 1-2 in the women's 200m, as Veronica Campbell-Brown won in 22.53 ahead of Anneisha McLaughlin (22.63).

The Americans had a 1-2 in the men's 100m, won by Tyson Gay (10.02), ahead of Ryan Bailey (10.15), with Trinidad's Keston Bledman taking third (10.16), and Nesta Carter of Jamaica fourth. Jamaican Aleen Bailey won the women's 100m in 11.37.

Ryan Brathwaite of Barbados turned back the clock to win the 110m hurdles in 13.19. Anguilla's Shara Proctor, jumping for Britain, came second in the women's high jump with a leap of 6.72, finishing behind American Janay DeLoach (6.79).

At the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League meet in Eugene, Oregon, on Saturday, there will be a large number of Caribbean athletes on show....

The women's 100m will feature Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart against Americans Carmelita Jeter, Allyson Felix and Barbara Pierre. The men's equivalent should see Jamaicans Nesta Carter and Kemar Bailey-Cole, as well as Trinidadians Richard Thompson and Keston Bledman, taking on US sprinters Justin Gatlin, Mike Rodgers and Ryan Bailey, as well as Derrick Atkins of the Bahamas.

In the men's 200m, Nickel Ashmeade and Jason Young of Jamaica will take on Americans Walter Dix, Maurice Mitchell and Jeremy Dodson, while in the men's 400m Grenada's Kirani James will line up against Lalonde Gordon of Trinidad and Bahamian Chris Brown. In the women's equivalent, Jamaicans Novlene Williams, Stephanie McPherson and Shericka Williams go up against Americans Sanya Richards, Francena MCrorory and DeeDee Trotter.

In addition, Jamaica's Kaliese Spencer will be taking part in the women's 400m hurdles, and Kimberley Williams in the women's triple jump.

Firstly SAFP won the women's 100m in 10.71 with a +2.2wind ahead of Okagbare and VCB in 10.75 &10.78 respectively. Brilliant run by Shelly which cements her place as the fav for Moscow come this summer.
Parchment broke the Jamaican NR with a 13.05 run in the 110m hurldles.
Kirani James came 2nd in the mens 400m after Merrit beat him on the line .
