Here's the current A list....
Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan. Denesh Ramdin, Darren Sammy, Jerome Taylor, Sulieman Benn, Dave Bernard, Narsingh Deonarine, Travis Dowlin, Brendan Nash, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach.
Now, Suleimann Benn and Darren Sammy seem set to join the A list....

That means one of the current list should drop out. Who's that likely to be? Bernard?
Does anyone have a complete list of retainer contracts? I know there are B lists and C lists, or development contracts, or whatever they're called....

Hi Mike...good to see you around...hope all is well.

I'll try to see if I can get a list with the levels ..
Its all fine that Benn and Sammy raised their games ..it shows improvements. But it was an improvement from their poor standard of play. Before they get enhance contracts I want to see consistency like Shiv and Gayle before raising their level of contracts.

Based on experience, record and potential, the contracts are graded at US$120,000, $80,000, $60,000 and $24,000. The last category is for what is called 'developmental players'. Match, tour and sponsorship fees are additional and paid to those selected for West Indies, with or without contracts.
List of contracted players

Combined Campuses and Colleges: Ryan Austin, Kevin McLean, Omar Phillips, Floyd Reifer, Chadwick Walton.

WICB is a transparent organization... so I'm sure we can find the breakdown as to which category the players are in..

Hi guys....
yes, Bally, I'm still around, but I haven't dropped by much, because these days I find talking about West Indies cricket depressing.
However, as you know, I can be found on CMS talking about other subjects:
http://www.cricket-match-special.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Do drop in from time to time as well....
With regards to the list of players, like you I've found stories listing them according to territory, but not according to the type of retainer contract they have. However, according to the WICB site, they seem to be about to do away with that:
http://www.windiescricket.com/index.cfm ... 2C87FC927F" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"The WICB will be offering 15 players Central Retainer Contracts for the period October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011 and will also offer ten players Developmental Contracts for the same period."
So, they're doing away with the 33 players originally contracted, and reducing that to 25. Could that be the input of Gibson, based upon his experiences in the ECB set-up?
Given that there are 14 A-listers currently, and that's likely to increase to 15 with the inclusion of Benn and Sammy, that implies one will be left out of the current list. My guess is that Bernard is likely to be that guy....

Mike, there are 14 players that have received contracts from WICB but NOT all of them are in the same level. There are various levels... Sammy holds a category B contract while Benn holds a C.
