the only possible reason the USA could have destroyed Iraq for, was to turn around Saddams decision to price oil in Euros.
that decision challeneged the very core of the american economy and the USA would not stand for it
the key to amrican movement in the middle east is to keep oil pricising in US dollars and the trans-shipment of world oil by American corporations.
keeping the world using oil as basic source of energy, and not developing alternatives...as long as the USA controls oil from the bottom up and the top down and acrosss and around... is fine. thats their purpose and they will brook no challenge from any such development, which would eliminate the basis of american power.. destroy the US economy

oil is the basic commodity in world economy. it is what produces electricity drives industry everything that moves in modern society.
all nations must buy essential oil in american dollars. no matter what no market anywhere will accept anything but us dollars for oil. that is the basis of the us dollar as world reserve currency.
nations dat do not earn american dollars by trade must find ways to purchase us dollars to pay for the oil they need to survive. and all nations must pay the premiums and taxes etc the americans include in the use of their dollar.
and if oil becomes priced in any other currency..now that america is no longer a net producer of value added products..is a net importer with trade and budget deficits..the only thing that keeps them afloat is the dollar as world reserve currency

thats basically why the fought saddam. they will fight Iran too if they cannot work out something about that oil bourse they opened that accepts all currencies for the oil they sell.
thats the reason why the usa fights. israel of course wants a lot ore than that in the middle east and wants america to defeat for them, and help them to colonise the whole middle eastregion
