always at times of fundamental financial crises, when competition ceases due to monopoly control, expansion stops....capital attacks everything in sight in search of profits.

the financial scandals are one a minute...those that break into the public realm. a lot never see the light of day but it is safe to specualte that there financial scandals in all areas of the global economy at this time...internally in the various nations...and in all area of interconnected global economic activity.

so at this time it should be no suprise that cricket appears to be over-run by crooks seeking to create some profit for themselves, using the game for all manner of betting. it follows if these money bags could have made money elsewhere they would not have attacked cricket.

cricket is perhaps more vulnerable that FIFA and the Olympics.. activity which long ago developed their own MAFIA...which mafia rips off whole nations in the staging their signature events.

even more FIFA and the Olympic commitee can dictate to nations as to how they must handle relevant sporting activities in their own countries. no government can stand in the way of these 'institutions' FIFA or the Olympic committee.

FIFA just unconscionably rippped-off South Africa of billions of dollars sorely needed by that nation for the develpment of its people

American professional sport also appears impregnable, but only in that they are already fully exploited and organised for that purpose by their collective ownership, all established mafias. sports at the college level in america appears to be a fronteir in which the biggest players have become exceedingly rich at the expense of the very exploitable and defennceless college athletes

now cricket has lost its innocence completely. it began with Cronje and his Saffie team-mates who were punished and debarred from the game.

waht was left of crickets virginity after that episode has now be done away with by Asian financiers looking for pofit in a world in which opportunities for legitimate and profitable investment have all but dried up
