Mumbai has given me an idea....
Trinidad and the West Indies bat KP too low in the order, and he tends to come in with only five overs remaining, or something like that. Today, Pollard came in one down, with all of 10 overs to play. He easily played arguably one of best 20-20 innings in this match!
Surely, that's the position Kieron Pollard needs to play for the West Indies in future. This could be the next WI 13-man squad for this format, maybe at home to India next year:
1) Chris Gayle
2) Adrian Barath
3) Kieron Pollard
4) Ronnie Sarwan (topscored for Guyana yesterday)
5) Dwayne Bravo
6) Lendl Simmons (try him with the gloves?)
7) Jonathan Foo
8) Shane Shillingford
9) Krishmar Santokie
10) Kemar Roach
11) Davendra Bishoo or Suleimann Benn
12) Darren Sammy
13) One of Dowlin/Carter/Marshall/Richards/Hyatt
Pollard at 3 for WI 20/20 team
