Will the WICB save face & give Sars a contract?
Should Sarwan accept if they do?

The WICB did Sarwan a a favor by denying him a contract.
There is no face to save. Let Sarwan go out there and perform.
The answer is no! The WICB wll not offer Sarwan a contract.
But if they decide to offer him a contract Sarwan must accept.
It is not a wise thing to piss off your employer(wicb).
Mediocre players like Pollard and Bravo will get away with pissing off the WICB, but not world class players like Shiv and Sarwan. The WICB would discard Shiv and Sarwan in a split second.

I see your point...but Sars proved his fitness in SA, no?Snoop wrote:I can't see the WICB offering him a contract. It would mean that the premise of their earlier decision not to offer him one because of supposed fitness issue was full of shyte.

On a serious note, there is NO proper criteria used (names in a hat?) to handout those contracts in the first place. This is like your boss giving you an annual review without any objectives at the start of the year.
However, Sars needed a lil reality check..lets hope this is it. Massa days done and gone Pandit_ji...

Agreed! Sars should be looking all the time. Put his resume on hotsjobs.com or find someone to look work for him. He needs to keep busy and fit for another five or six years more in international cricket.Snoop wrote:Now that Sars is effectively a free agent he should seriously start soliciting IPL, Oz Big Bash, and English county teams for T20 contracts.
Come on Sars get your agent on the phone pronto!!
Sarwan should look to develop his T20 game like Jayawardene as well...
