Now stadium ceiling collapses to leave Games on the brink

Another day of chaos moved the Commonwealth Games closer to the brink of cancellation even though England decided to send their men's hockey team and six lawn bowlers to Delhi on Wednesday night.
The defiant move to despatch an advance party of 22 athletes plus coaching staff to the Indian capital today was announced just hours after the ceiling of the weightlifting centre, part of the main Nehru Stadium, collapsed.
