New Balance meet starts on Saturday in the US....
Stephen Headley of Barbados will be running in the men's 60 metres, and Schillonie Calvert of Jamaica will participate in the women's equivalent.

It was a Caribbean 1-2-3 in the highlight event at the Dusseldorf Indoor meet last night, as Cuba's Yuniel Perez won the men's 60m in 6.56, the same time as second-placed Kittian Kim Collins, with Everton Clarke of Jamaica third in 6.57.
Czech Pavel Maslak won the 'A' race of the men's 400m in 46 seconds flat, while Grenada's Bralon Taplin won the 'B' race in 46.25.

In front of a sold-out crowd, Jamaican Gayon Evans took an upset win in the women's 60m at the Karlsbad Indoor meet yesterday, clocking a personal best of 7.14, to finish ahead of favourite Dina Asher-Smith of Britain (7.15) and Norway's Ezinne Okparaebo (7.19).

At the Copernicus Cup in Torun yesterday, Ezinne Okparaebo of Norway won the women's 60m in 7.13, the same time as American Barbara Pierre, with Jamaica's Gayon Evans third in 7.15.

Rio Olympic champions Shaunae Miller of Bahamas, Omar McLeod of Jamaica, Derek Drouin of Canada and Katerine Stefanidi of Greece won titles Saturday at the 110th Millrose Games indoor athletics meet.
Miller, who dove across the line to edge American Allyson Felix for 400-metre gold last year in Rio, won the 300m in 35.71 seconds, matching the sixth-best time at the distance to beat American Ashley Spencer by .56 of a second.
"This is an amazing feeling," Miller said. "It's a nice start to 2017, a good win. I'm looking forward to it."
McLeod, the reigning Olympic 110 hurdles champion and world indoor 60 hurdles king, took the 60 hurdles in 7.46 with American Aleec Harris second in 7.56.

At the Birmingham Indoor Meet on Saturday, there was a Jamaica 1-2-3 in the women's 60m. Elaine Thompson became one of only nine women to ever run under seven seconds, when she won in a blistering 6.98 seconds, ahead of Gayon Evans (7.17) and Christania Williams (7.18).
The men's equivalent was won by American Ronnie Baker in 6.55, ahead of veteran Kim Collins of St Kitts-Nevis (6.58).
Godfrey Mokoena of South Africa won the men's long jump with a leap of 7.99, ahead of Bermuda's Tyrone Smith (7.83).
