I seriously doubt it! They will consider a draw as a win!

The Lions will tear dem up, even without the great Murali!

btw- Shiv sent Vaas into retirement....Murali decided to retire before the Tigah come to SL.

It depends on the bowling attack they select. You can't win Test matches without taking 20 wickets. Those pitches will be dead dead dead. Benn and Shillingford will probably play in all the Tests. Roach, Bravo and Pascal will be the likely seamers.

Getting the wickets of Dilshan, Sanga, Jayawardene, and Samaraweera for less than 50 each will be the key. Dropping catches from any one of these guys and you're looking at chasing 500+.

With this bowling attacked, coupled with those feather beds in Sri Lanka - I'm giving any of Dilshan, Sanga or Jayawardene a mere 4 sessions to knock of that 400.

In my opinion , based on the preparations so far , the answer is a resounding NO . There can absolutely no doubt that PROPER PREPERATION PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCES . I am firmly of the belief that in order for our Players to have some semblance of competitiveness , they have to be in a 3 or 4 weeks Camp . In essence like the Camp that Allen Stanford had for his Players .

The Emperors in the West Indies Cricket Board however , have shown no aptitude to do anything like that . This in my opinion perpetually dooms our Team to Failure . They are going to say that they have no money , forgetting the fact that TO MAKE MONEY , ONE HAS TO SPEND MONEY .

THE REASON WHY THE WICB CANNOT GET NEW SPONSORS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT CRICKET IN THE REGION IS VERY VERY LOW AS COMPARED TO THAT OF COUNTRIES RANKED ABOVE OUR TEAM . I have on many occasions explained why the standard of Cricket in the Region is currently low .

THERE CAN BE NO DOUBT THAT THE ONUS IS ON THE WICB TO LIFT THE STANDARD OF CRICKET IN THE REGION . HOWEVER IT HAS BLUNTLY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING TO DO THAT . WE have to take into consideration the fact that MOST OF OUR PLAYERS ARE PART TIME CRICKETERS , WHO ARE'NT PLAYING MUCH CRICKET WHEN NOT REPRESENTING US . Unlike Players in other Countries , whose skills remain honed by playing , in Counties ; States ; and Pro & Semi Pro Leagues .

Let me again say that THE CURRENT ICC FORMAT HURTS OUR TEAM MORESO THAN OTHERS BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAVE STATED ABOVE . CURRENTLY TOURS ARE TRUNCATED , AND THIS REQUIRES ALL PLAYERS TO BE READY , AND HONED MENTALLY & PHYSICALLY FROM DAY ONE .

IF THE SCHEDULE THAT WAS IN PLACE PRIOR TO THE ICC SCHEDULE WAS REINTRODUCED , I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT OUR PLAYERS WOULD PERFORM BETTER . DUE TO THE FACT THAT , THAT SCHEDULE ALLOWED FOR MANY MATCHES BEFORE THE INTERNATIONAL MATCHES , AND ALSO BETWEEN MATCHES .
