Sachin Tendulkar has been rated as the best batsman ever overwhelmingly in an Australian newspaper online poll - significantly in the land of legendary Sir Donald Bradman.

A staggering 84 per cent respondents in the online poll rooted for the Indian batting maestro on a day when he notched up his sixth Test double century against the Aussies in the second and final test in Bengaluru.

The online poll was conducted by Sydney Morning Herald and close to 15,000 visitors responded to the question - "Is Sachin Tendulkar the best batsman ever?"

Only 16 per cent of the respondents felt otherwise. The possibility of a lot of Indians voting for 37-year-old Tendulkar is not being ruled out.

deh have to have an excuse for a team of colour cutting deh arse so completely...'Sachin is god and no earthly team cyan beat him if the Oz cyant!'

no Sachin is not god and he is not greater than Lara was in my book and in the book of some pretty great bowlers.

and neither are Dhoni and his team from heaven. what it is... is dat at this time...and for some time now... India has been and are simply better than white australia!

thats all it is. we doh have to go into any metaphysics to explain this cutarse. it is the normal cutarse a better team administers to its oppisition, just about everytime we have such relationship of forces on a cricket field

Mapoui...India has a strong list of player on the bench too. Please note that Pujara made his debut in this match, Vijay and Ohja playing their 8th match. Raina playing his 4th. etc..
