And on to the Zurich Diamond League meet yesterday....

The line up was almost the same as in Moscow, and the result was almost the same too. Jamaican superstar won the men's 100m in 9.90, this time with his compatriot Nickel Ashmeade second in 9.94, and American Justin Gatlin third in 9.96. Two more Jamaicans, Nesta Carter (10.01) and Kemar Bailey-Cole (10.02) came sixth and seventh, while Britain's Adam Gemeli was seventh in 10.06.

Britain's Anguilla-born Shara Proctor won the women's long jump with a leap of 6.88, while Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser won the women's 200m in 22.41, while Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast was a distant second in 22.66. The women's 400m hurdles was won by the unbeaten Czech Zuzanna Hejnova in 53.33 ahead of Jamaica's Kaliese Spence (54.22).

Lashawn Merritt of the US won the men's 400m in 44.14, ahead of Grenada's Kirani James (44.32) to end the season in the more dominant position in that two-man rivalry.

In the final Diamond League meet of the season at Brussels tomorrow, Jamaicans Warren Weir and Nickel Ashmeade will take on Brits Adam Gemeli and James Ellington over 200m, where 400m world champion Lashawn Merritt of the US will also make an appearance.

In the men's 100m, Jamaicans Usain Bolt, Nesta Carter and Kemar Bailey-Cole take on Trinidad's Keston Bledman, Kim Collins of St Kitts-Nevis, and Americans Justin Gatlin and Mike Rodgers. The men's 400m will include Jamaicans Nicholas Maitland and Edino Steele.

The men's 400m hurdles will also be packed, with Trinidad's world champion Jehue Gordon going up against Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic, Americans Michael Tinsley and Justin Gaymon, and Javier Culson of Puerto Rico.

In the women's 100m, Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Kerron Stewart and Carrie Russell will take on Americans Alex Anderson and Charonda Williams, while in the women's 400m, Jamaicans Stephanie McPherson and Novlene Williams go up against Amantle Montsho of Botswana and Britain's world champion Christine Ohuruogu.

At the final Diamond League meet, at Brussels last night, Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt won the 100m in 9,80, ahead of Mike Rodgers of the US (9.90), another Jamaican Nesta Carter (9.94), and another American Justin Gatlin (9.94). Yet another Jamaican, Kemar Bailey-Cole came fifth in 9.98, while Kim Collins of St Kitts-Nevis was seventh and Trinidad's Keston Bledman ninth.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica won the women's equivalent in 10.72, ahead of American Alex Anderson (10.97), and Jamaicans Carrie Russell (10.99) and Kerron Stewart (11.19). It was a Jamaica 1-2 in the men's 200m, Warren Weir winning in 19.87 ahead of Nickel Ashmeade (19.93).

Trinidadian Jehue Gordon won the men's 400m hurdles in 48.32, while Jamaica's Kimberley Williams came second in the women's triple jump with a leap of 14.34, behind Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia (14.49).
